UDC 665 62 075 EFFICIENCY OF NATURAL GAS CLEANING TECHNOLOGY FROM TOXIC COMPONENTS USING ALKANOLAMINE SOLUTIONS

Abstract

This article analyzes the conditions and criteria for selecting the optimal absorbent or the type of combined absorbents for the selective purification of natural gas from acidic components and sulfur-containing compounds, as well as the challenges associated with absorption purification technologies. Nowadays, various methods of alkanolamine-based purification are employed in the primary treatment of oil and gas raw materials for industrial processing. These include the use of monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, and metal diethanolamine solutions, which serve as absorbents for hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, mercaptans, and sulfur compounds. The issues encountered in their application and possible solutions have been studied. A model for the gas purification process using amine solutions has been developed to determine the optimal composition of the absorbent. Calculations based on the ratios of methyl diethanolamine (MDEA) and diethanolamine (DEA) have been carried out to identify the most effective mixture for producing high-quality commercial gas.
