Abstract

The article examines methods for improving the energy efficiency of pumping stations to reduce operational costs and energy consumption. It emphasizes equipment modernization, implementation of automated control systems, and pump adjustment based on various structural, technological, and electrical parameters. Examples of advanced technologies are provided to minimize energy losses and ensure stability and reliability in pumping system operations.


 An analysis of the energy consumption status of pumping stations reveals significant energy-saving potential based on the structural features and operating modes of these stations. Furthermore, differences are identified between the operating modes of the pumping stations, the water consumption schedule, and the actual volume of water supplied by the pumping units.


The article presents a prospective method for aligning consumption and performance in pumping stations with water supply, along with possibilities for optimizing the “motor-pump” system operation. Structural, technological, and energy parameters were taken into account during the analysis of operating modes. Effective management of the pumping system requires modifying specific technological and electrical parameters. Frequency control algorithms for pump drive systems can reduce energy consumption by 10-17% and improve water distribution accuracy by 15%. This approach promotes stable and efficient management of energy and water resources.
